Welcome to Daisy Lane Bears

A Happy New Year to you all.

I would like to apologise for the lack of bears for the over the last few month, due to unforeseen busyness elsewhere and trying to create a new website, which is harder than first expected!,  I have been slow in production... I now have several bears that I will preview on the website in the New Year and they will be available to adopt as from the 2012 Hugglets winter Bearfest in February.
I will also be completing my website and new bears will be added throughout 2012 and beyond….yay!
I sadly lost my much loved 12 year old Jack Russell, Bella, due to illness in September and as strange as it may seem to some, she was a huge inspiration for my creations.  I have however now come to share my life with a lovely Jack Russell pup called Thomas who is already inspiring me with his amusing ways!!

I look forward to a fresh new beary 2012.

*NEWS*     I will be displaying and selling my bears at the Hugglets Winter Bearfest at Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London, England on FEBRUARY 26th 2012. There are over 170 stands with thousands of bears on sale. Free entry tickets for each event can be found at the back of the UK Teddy Bear Guide or can be purchased at the door (£4 adult / £2 child). Entry times are 10.30am to 4.00pm.

All my bears are one of a kind Artist Bears, individually designed by me and hand sewn with the love and care each one deserves.

What is an Artist Bear?.....   Artist Bears are the work of individual teddy bear artists from design through to completion, each striving to create their own unique interpretation of the ideal bear for the discerning teddy bear collector. Whether dressed or bare, traditional or contemporary, large or small, a true artist bear will be a unique but recognizable expression of the creativity and character of the teddy bear artist.

I pride myself on the quality of my work and use only the finest materials, which include Schulte Mohair, ultra suede, English glass eyes and cotter pin joints. I use polyester filling with steel shot for extra weight. All material is ‘fray checked’ and double hand stitched with a great deal of care for strength and appearance.

All my bears come to you with their very own ‘I am a Daisy Lane Bear’ swing tag with their name and date of birth.

Due to small parts my bears are not suitable for children under 14. They are collectors bears and meant for ornamental purpose.

I have been lucky enough to have had my work featured in the Teddy Bear Times magazine (please click to view).

I also sell my bears at the Hugglets bear fairs in Kensington, London. Dates for these fairs will be added to the ‘News’ at the top of the page.

Each and every one of my bears are very special to me and a great deal of work, patience and love go into making them, therefore I very much appreciate the time you have taken to visit my website.
